Built for Big Batches
CMC America Double Sigma mixers are designed to produce an even dough mass in short mixing times. They’re a strong fit for short doughs, granola, pretzels, frostings, crèmes, batters, fillings and many other recipes, especially at high capacity.
All CMC America mixers are USDA accepted, meet OSHA and ANSI standards, and can be manufactured to be FDA and CE conformant when required. We build them in Joliet, Illinois.

Rugged and Reliable
Heavy-duty stainless steel construction, a solid stainless support frame and legs, and a high-service-factor Monoblock gearbox keep your line producing for decades.
Patented Jacketing
With our patented jacketing system, heavy-duty mixing meets high efficiency, with dough temperatures as low as 14 °C (57 °F). Ask about jackets for heating or cooling.
Counter-Rotating Sigma Blades
The two sigma blades turn in opposite directions to stretch, fold and compress the dough, mixing every ingredient in and developing the dough evenly through the whole batch.

Double Sigma Mixer Questions
When is a double sigma the right choice?
When you need large batches of heavy products such as granola, bars or pretzel dough. For many cookie, cracker and bread doughs, a single sigma or roller bar mixer may fit better. Tell us what you make and we’ll recommend one.
What size double sigma mixer do I need?
Sizes run from the 150DS (1,100 lb batch) to the 750DS (5,000 lb batch). The right size depends on your formula and hourly output. Send us those details and we’ll recommend a model.
Can the bowl be cooled or heated?
Our patented jacketing system can hold dough temperatures as low as 14 °C (57 °F). Ask us about jacketing for cooling or heating, and tell us your target temperature when you ask for a quote.
What warranty comes with a new mixer?
New CMC equipment comes with a written warranty. Coverage depends on the part, so please see our Warranty and Terms (PDF).
